Carnival 2014 is almost upon us. Here at Key Players we’ve rounded up the best after parties across London to help you make the most of this long awaited Bank Holiday.
XOYO Loves Presents Eton Messy
Thanks to its West London location, Paradise by Way of Kensal Green always attracts a great post-Carnival crowd for brilliant after parties. This year promises to be no different; and maybe extra Messy. XOYO Loves promotes new artists and club nights the Shoreditch super club wants to lend a hand to, and this weekend its turn of Bristol based Eton Messy. Swapping the West Country for West London and bringing their mix of dirty disco and glam house with them, the DJ team will be sure to keep the party vibes going long after the parades have ended.

Carnival 2014: Supa Dupa Fly Special
Revered London club night ‘SupaDupa Fly’ take over Concrete on Sunday, promising their usual heady combination of vintage hiphop, R&B and garage but with extra Carnival flair. From famed hip-hop DJ crew ‘Livin’ Proof’, Khalil will take to the decks along with other special guests. Expect bashment, reggae and dancehall thrown in with the usual nineties-noughties tunes their parties are famous for.

Your Mum’s House; Carnival Special
Famous for great dance parties and an even greater service to ‘Your Mum’ jokes, the YMH crew team up with American Apparel to unleash an insanely good line up for their Carnival special. Offering everything from trap to dancehall and featuring Stylo G playing live and Woz (from the ace Black Butter Records), Syron, De$ignated and El Moreno in the DJ box, the night will be the perfect way to top off a long day of rum drinking and ass shaking.

Faded; Ministry of Sound Carnival After Party
Where better to end a messy Bank holiday weekend than clubbing Mecca, MoS. With a sterling line up across 4 rooms including live appearances from Popcaan and Melissa Steel and DJ sets from Shorty Bless and The Menendez Brothers, amongst others, the night offers something for everyone; from deep house to hip hop. If you’ve been smart enough to elongate an already long weekend this is the best place south of the river to round up Carnival 2014.

The hipster hangout is the perfect place to celebrate Carnival, even if dancehall tunes and feathered headdresses aren’t your thing, so there’s simply no excuse for staying in this Monday night.
