Autograf, three friends from Chicago who formed as a musical group in 2013, are aiming to rebuild the connection between fashion art and music – and produce some pretty excellent future house at the same time. Their unique sound is deeply rooted in their common artistic backgrounds and what started as an experimental movement, fighting against the mainstream, could soon be the next big thing in EDM. This summer they’ve covered Swedish House Mafia’s 2010 smash, ‘One’ and the results are stunning.
The beauty of this track is that they have managed to take a monster dance anthem and deconstruct it in to something almost unrecognisable, and yet still as appealing. By giving the track the self described “Tropical House/Future House chill vibe” they’ve produced what is likely to be a staple of Ibiza pool parties for the rest of the Summer. For guys trying to fight the mainstream they’re not doing very well at dissuading fans with great music like this.
